What the guide shows
Seven days of listings across the live channels, on every plan. The player downloads it the first time you sign in and refreshes it by itself after that.
You see what is on now, what is next, and what is on later in the week, and you can open a channel straight from its listing instead of paging through hundreds of them.
Catch-up
On most channels the guide scrolls backwards too, so a programme that already aired can be played from the start. How many days back depends on the channel.
Recording
A player such as TiviMate records straight from the guide onto a USB stick or the device's own storage, so a late match can be set to record and watched the next morning.
If the times look wrong
The guide takes its clock from the device, so listings land in Irish time on their own. If they are out by an hour or more, the device time zone or the player's guide offset is the culprit.
- Set the device time zone to Dublin.
- In TiviMate or IBO Player, keep the guide time-shift at zero.
- On a MAG or Formuler box, set the time server to ie.pool.ntp.org.
